How do you define Virtual Assistant?
I am a virtual assistant and I have my own definition. I have been working as a virtual assistant for 5 years now. I find this job fun, interesting, exciting and challenging.
Some people think that this job is easy. Well, no! Let me share you my story..
I started as an online writer. How I got the job:
I was pregnant that time when I my cousin asked me if I want to work. It was a pretty good idea because I'd just be staying at home. It wouldn't be stressful because I will just stay at home and work in front of computer. Aside from that the pay is good so I can't say no. I need to save my money too. I can't just stay at home doing nothing and just depend on my parent's money.
My first client interview:
Okay, the interview went well. I talked to my first client over google talk. It wasn't that hard because I used to be
a customer service agent so I am used to talking to Americans. She gave me a little background about the work that I'd be having and that tasks are really new to my ears. I had to be honest that this would be my first time and I asked her if she could bear with me, because I also need to learn about this thing.
She was nice and she actually offered my 1 week paid training. I don't have to do anything but read some modules and pdf's about article writing.

There are many things that I need to learn. I never thought that there are indeed comparisons among these. I thou
ght it would just be simple as article writing. Like way back in high school writing essays, short stories, etc. This is way different and much more complicated.
Article writing is powerful. Also, she also helped me understand why article writing is my job. She also explained what and how it could affect her business.
I never thought that with this article writing she can earn thousand of dollars in just one day! awesome!!!!
DONE WITH MY
TRAINING! and at first I was very confident! I even told myself that it would just be 8 500-words articles. (But then, I chicken out! I felt that I disappointed her!)
I felt horrible but I need to overcome this and I need to work hard to keep this job! You know why? Because this job pays really well! Not only that, I can really learn a lot from this.
You are not just writing articles for your client, but you are also learning at the same time.

It took me 2 months to learn the basics of article writing. My journey continued and I learned to love this job that became more exciting!..
I had some articles posted on the net: Articles Online. I was paid to write articles and I am proud that I have written high quality articles.
I would like to include my husband who also worked with me. He became an Expert Author in Ezine Articles Directory : Moises Bonache Jr.
I got some trainings from my clients as she wanted me to become her personal assistant or virtual assistant. Yes, VIRTUAL ASSISTANT!
Then again, I undergone some trainings - went back to reading modules and this time, THERE's MORE to learn than the article writing.

Imagine how many modules I had to read for each of the category stated above? How many years would it take me to become an effective virtual assistant?
I even asked myself if I can really do this?!
But my client told me, just stay still.. "we'll do all these together, I am also new to these.. so let's just take one step at a time!" Then, worked together! It went well!

k me a year to know all the basics of these stuff? --- BASICS!
Learning is fun! With her help, I finally found my passion, my profession!.. I love my work now, and I am proud that I am a virtual assistant.

The filipino way: ang trabahong ito ang nagpapakain o nagbubuhay sa aking pamilya! Kung hindi dahil sa trabahong ito, wala akong kotse, wala akong cellphone, wala akong pambili ng pagkain sa pang araw2, wala ako pambili ng gatas ng anak ko! Kaya't ako'y nagpapasalamat dahil BINUBUHAY kami ng asawa't anak ko ng TRABAHONG ITO! Kaya't Proud ako na ako'y isang virtual assistant!
